BANIGO CONDOLES BRO FELIX OBUAH ON THE DEMISE OF HIS SISTER

Rivers State Deputy Governor Dr. (Mrs.) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has condoled the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Bro Felix Obuah on the demise of his younger sister Late Mrs Joy Rosemary Clarke, Nee Obuah.

In a statement from the Government House in Port Harcourt, Dr. Banigo expressed grief at the sudden demise of Late Mrs. Clarkewho was fondly called Mama G.
She prayed the Almighty God to grant the soul of Mrs Clarke eternal repose and give members of the Obuah’s Family the Christian fortitude to bear this colossal loss, knowing that on the resurrection morning the family will reunite again.

THE NIGER DELTA IS IMPORTANT FOR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT - Wike

The Rivers State Government says the Niger Delta is the main area and region for oil production and development in Nigeria.

Governor Wike stated this during the launch of “Defiant Embers” a documentary highlighting the economic opportunities in the Niger Delta, organized by the British High Commission in Nigeria at Hotel Presidential in Port Harcourt, on Friday 22nd June 2018.
Represented by his Deputy, Dr. (Mrs.) Ipalibo Harry Banigo, Governor Wike said despite the fact that the oil-rich region is the source of 70% of Nigeria’s foreign exchange earnings, over 70% of the population in the region live on an average of less than US$2 a day.
He said Rivers State produces 40% of Nigerian oil and 60% of Nigerian gas, with a per capita income of $3,965 which compares favourably with the national per capita of $2,640.

BANIGO TO FATHERS - BE POSITIVE ROLE MODELS

Rivers State Deputy Governor Dr. (Mrs.) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has urged fathers to be positive role models to their children.

Dr. Banigo stated this in a goodwill message from the Government House in Port Harcourt to commemorate the 2018 Father’s Day Celebration.
According to Dr. Banigo 
“fathers are shapers of destiny and the onus lies on them to give their children godly tutelage in order to make them responsible citizens in future”.
She said families become dysfunctional when fathers shirk their responsibilities, noting that children are greatly influenced by the conduct of their fathers which in turn shapes the Children’s destiny.
The Deputy Governor wished the State  Chief Executive, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, and all the fathers in the State a Happy father’s Day.
It would be recalled that the third Sunday in June is set aside as Father’s Day each year.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT POLLS : BANIGO COMMENDS RSIEC

Rivers State Deputy Governor Dr. (Mrs.) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has commended the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) for conducting a peaceful free and fair Local Government Council Polls.

The Deputy Governor stated this shortly after casting her vote at Ward 14 Unit 10 in Obuama, Degema Local Government Area.
“The turnout is quite satisfactory and the people are generally enthused to cast their votes, we have been having positive reports from the field, the whole place is peaceful and I commend the People for their peaceful disposition”. Dr. Banigo stressed.
Dr. Banigo called on the winners to be magnanimous in victory and carry everybody along irrespective of party affiliation to foster unity and development.
In a related development, the member representing Asari Toru Constituency I in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Tekenari Wellington expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the election in his constituency.

FRESH AIR IN HEALTH BANIGO COMMENDS WIKE

Rivers State Deputy Governor Dr. (Mrs.) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has commended the State Chief Executive Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for Breathing a Breath of Fresh Air into the Healthcare Delivery System of the State.

Dr. Banigo made this commendation in reaction to the exponential increase in the health indices of the State within the past 3 years of Governor Wike’s Administration.
According to the Deputy Governor who also doubles as the Chairman of the State Task Force on Polio Eradication and Primary Healthcare  “at the outset, the Wike led administration met a deplorable health care delivery system, routine immunization  and other health indicators pointed to the fact that health care delivery was at its lowest ebb”.

Rivers State Deputy Governor Dr. Mrs Ipalibo Harry Banigo has felicitated with His Majesty king Edward Asimini William Dapper Pepple,III, Perekule XI Amayanabo of Grand Bonny Kingdom as he celebrates his birthday on Monday, June 11th, 2018.



In a statement from the Government House in Port Harcourt, the Deputy Governor expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for blessing the Ibani Kingdom with a foresighted and vibrant king 


who has continued to place the Kingdom on the front burner of positive national and international discourse.
She said the  “Bonny Monarch is a source of pride and inspiration to the Ibani People because of his  pragmatic approach  in handling the developmental needs of the Kingdom, May the Almighty God continue to bless and give him a peaceful reign”.

LIVE ONE DAY AT A TIME

We live in a world filled with so much chaos, disaster, mishaps, stress, pressure, misfortune and so on while media houses on daily basis report the ills of society leaving us perplexed with anxiety, worries and fears.


The young ones (our youths) are filled with fear of the unknown, fear of rejection, failure and fear of tomorrow leading so many youths into making wrong choices in career, association, marriage, and so on. Some end up getting involved in social vices as they tend to want to measure up with their peers and to live a fast life in a fast growing world.

No doubt, such times will come at one point in our lives as we live in a society filled with anxiety - causing situations. People, especially the youths want to live on the fast lane of life lacking patience to live life one day at a time. If it was possible for such people to manipulate God into bringing their heart's  desires to pass as soon as possible, they would do it.
For such people, God is too slow to bring thin…

THE PARTY TO SALVAGE NIGERIA IS PDP - Banigo

Rivers State Deputy Governor Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo says the Peoples Democratic Party is the only Party that has answers to the problems plaguing Nigerians today.

The Deputy Governor stated this while playing host to the Unique Mothers of Ogoni (UMO) at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, 5th June 2018.
Dr. Banigo said the PDP has answers to the Problem of insecurity, hunger, infrastructure decay, and education gap amongst others.
“We have been tested at the National level and we have delivered, but in the past three years everything has turned for the worst, the change that the ruling party promised was a change that brought hardship, sorrow, tears and bloodshed to the Nigerian People”. She stressed.

A negative mentality keeps happiness far from us thus affecting our relationship with people.
Having a positive mindset means you decide to stay happy and positive in life even in bleak times.


In the society we live in, we encounter challenges, set backs and even attacks from people be it at work places, homes or any other social gathering. Life in itself is full of challenges. At every stage of our lives, we come across challenges that tend to throw us off balance or make us give up on life. You hear of suicidal tendencies or actual suicides because people felt they couldn't take it anymore in life. Some do the unthinkable just to beat the challenge they encounter.
