THE PARTY TO SALVAGE NIGERIA IS PDP - Banigo

Rivers State Deputy Governor Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo says the Peoples Democratic Party is the only Party that has answers to the problems plaguing Nigerians today.

The Deputy Governor stated this while playing host to the Unique Mothers of Ogoni (UMO) at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, 5th June 2018.

Dr. Banigo said the PDP has answers to the Problem of insecurity, hunger, infrastructure decay, and education gap amongst others.

“We have been tested at the National level and we have delivered, but in the past three years everything has turned for the worst, the change that the ruling party promised was a change that brought hardship, sorrow, tears and bloodshed to the Nigerian People”. She stressed.

According to the Deputy Governor the forth coming June 16th Local Government Polls is a pointer to the outcome of the 2019 National Elections, stressing that Governor Wike has provided a level playing field for all candidates to prove their popularity and capacity to deliver dividends of democracy.

She urged all eligible voters to ensure they are armed with their PVCs to revalidate the mandate of the Projects Governor who she applauded for remaining focused and committed to the development of the State despite all odds.

Dr. Banigo thanked the Unique Mothers of Ogoni for their support and prayers for the Wike led Administration and urged them to continue to mobilize and give women political orientation.

The President General of the Unique Mothers of Ogoni, Mrs. Charity Deemua had earlier informed the Deputy Governor that the Unique Mothers of Ogoni are special mothers with leadership potentials drawn from the four, Local Government Areas of Ogoni.

She said her organization had sensitized the Ogoni Women on the importance ofwomen participation in the electoral process and have carried out empowerment programmes for women across the Ogoni LGAs where 10 women from each LGA were empowered with cash and tools, noting that 160 women have so far benefitted.
