In as much as the Office of the Deputy Governor would not want to join issues with the said group because comment is free, it is important to set the records straight so that right thinking members of the society would not be miss led into believing this falsehood.According to John Adams “Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence”We would like to state categorically, that there is no iota of truth about Governor Wike’s alleged sidelining of his Deputy, Dr. Mrs. Ipalibo Harry Banigo as regards COVID-19 or indeed any Programme or Policy of the  State Government, she has continued to enjoy a cordial and robust relationshi…

PRAISE IN PAINS

It is so easy to praise God when things are going well and great. The truth is, we have all had days when it seemed difficult to praise God. I have been in such situations and I'm sure you have been too.
At a time like this when the world is facing a common challenge which is COVID 19, there are people who find it difficult to praise God in such moments especially those who have been affected in one way or the other.

While some have lost loved ones during this period, some have their businesses shut down for days and some have even lost their jobs. I know of few people who have lost their jobs as result of the pandemic.
For such people, the last thing that would come to mind is to give God praise yet we are admonished to "Give God thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
For those who are faced with great challenges this period especially those who lost their jobs like some of my friends, I admonish you to give…

YOU ARE CLOSER THAN YOU THINK

Image
A very close friend of mine contacted me during the week and talked about giving up on a plan that seems not to be yielding result despite how long the plan has been in motion and the first thing that came out of my mouth was "You Are Closer Than You Think" . This has inspired today's write up.
There are so many people out there in similar situation wanting to give up or throw in the towel because it seems they can't achieve what they had hoped to achieve but today, I want to encourage you and let you know that You Are Closer Than You Think.

Sometimes, it is people who criticize you and what you do, trying to bring you down or discourage you from pursuing your dreams. These doubters may be fiends, foes, a family member and sometimes people online whom you've never met in person. In such a situation, your motivation should be why you started in the first place.
Only you saw the realization of your dream in your head so let their criticisms also serve as a motivation…

Rivers State Deputy Governor Dr. Mrs. Ipalibo Harry Banigo has commended the State Chief Executive, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for being a Caring and Compassionate Leader.

Dr. Banigo stated this at the Degema Consulate, Headquarters of the Degema Local Government Council on Saturday 2nd May 2020, during the distribution of palliatives by the Rivers State Covid 19 Palliative Committee.
According to Dr. Banigo, Governor Wike demonstrated leadership by being the first Governor in the Country to close his boarders even before the Federal Government deemed it fit to do so, noting that despite the fact that Rivers State is the Hub of the Hydro Carbon Industry the prevalence rate of the disease is minimal compared to other States of the Federation because of the Governor’s concerted efforts to stem the spread of Covid 19 in the State.
“Imagine we are an Oil and Gas State and we have not recorded such losses like others because of the Governor’s foresightedness and Pro-activeness”. The Deputy Governor q…
