FOCUS ON THE JOURNEY AND NOT THE DESTINATION

Image
Life is a continuous journey filled with different kinds of goals set out to be achieved. Goals such as having a degree, getting a job, completing a project, getting married, making money and so on but then, the journey never ends. When one goal is achieved, another resurfaces and so on making life an unending journey. Take a moment and think about your life and ask yourself if you have arrived at your destination in life yet. Have you achieved every goal you set out to achieve? Have you been able to complete that which you intend completing? Have you been been able to hit that target in your savings? Have you been able to travel to all the places you dreamed of traveling to? I bet the answer is NO. While we are appreciative and grateful to God for how far we have come in life, we still know and recognize some other things we are yet to achieve as life takes us through its journey. We usually think the goal is everything but its not, it's the journey that matters most. The goal i…

WHAT A MAN BRINGS TO THE TABLE

Image
Women in most cases have always been asked what they bring to the table. Infact when in general the question "what can you bring to the table? is asked, it's mostly referred to ladies and ladies never take the time to ask or think what men actually bring to the table aside money and shelter. To most men, as long as they make enough money and are able to meet the financial needs of the woman and the kids, then that's all they can bring to the table. Most women also think in this regard believing all a man brings to the table is money and a roof over their heads but it goes way beyond that. Yes! it is the duty of the man to provide for the family financially and provide shelter but that's not all they bring or can bring to the table. Now don't get me wrong, men are wired to be the providers in their families and  for their loved ones. Every responsible man has this need or urge to provide for his family. "But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especia…

WHAT A WOMAN BRINGS TO THE TABLE

Image
As a man, what comes to your mind when you ask a woman "what can you bring to the table? As woman, what comes to your mind when a man asks " what can you bring to the table? This question has caused lots of arguments online and even physically. Once some women hears this question they become all offensive and defensive without taking a second thought and looking inward. To these women, the man is referring to their financial status. Some men are not exempted either on such thoughts. Some men actually ask this question referring to the financial status of the woman. for some, the only thing a woman brings to the table is sex forgetting there are so many things a woman can bring to the table even when she is not financially buoyant or does not contribute to the home/relationship financially and to some women, they feel all they can bring to the table is procreation. A perfect example is a full time housewife.  Some housewives believe all they can bring to the table is kids wh…
