I spoke to a friend who feels God no longer makes sense to him as all hope is lost. In fact to him, God is unfair for not coming through for him despite all his efforts and hard work in the pursuit of his goals and dreams.
I also had a friend who felt God wasn't coming through for her in her relationships with the opposite sex and later died of depression and anxiety.
Life happens to us all. It will not always give us all that we want or desire neither will it go as expected. We may fall and fail several times in the pursuit of our dreams. Hopes will be dashed, dreams will be shattered and people will turn their backs on us.
But when it seems like everything is falling apart and life seems to be throwing us down, what do we do? We give it one more shot. Life does not give us just an opportunity but many more opportunities. Keep giving it one more shot until you arrive at your destination. Giving up is not an option if you truly want to succeed in this life.
You never know which shot will hit the target if you give up. Michael Jordan, the greatest of all time (G.O.A.T) in the game of basketball missed so many shots and experienced failures several times in the pursuit of his dreams. What makes him the greatest of all time in the game of basketball? because he never gave up despite the missed shots and failures he experienced.
Most of the time, it is our defeatist and victim mentality that affects the realization of dreams and goals. Our greatest battles are often with ourselves. Even the most successful people go through this but the difference in our individual lives it's whether we surrender and retreat or keep pushing through till we reach our goal.
As an individual full of goals and dreams. One who is hopeful to have a better tomorrow and a bright future, there will be days when things will not go as planned or expected that you will feel like giving up but when such feelings surface, think of how far you have come, the things you did that brought you this far in life and keep giving your dreams and goals one more shot. It is most times in that one more shot, that we achieve success.
Refuse to give up but keep giving it one more shot. Someday, when you look at all the challenges and difficult moments you have been through, you will be thankful for those one more shots you gave.
