IT CAN BE INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT TO TRUST GOD SOMETIMES

When things are going on well and dandy for us - health, financial, material, marital, career and educational goals met - its easy to sing God's praises, give him all the thanks and all the glory for all the good things happening in our lives until we hit rock-bottom, hit the bumps in the road and our faith tested  then we would realize how it feels trusting God at such times.

Life can sometimes be unpredictable. All of a sudden, things can begin to go haywire, the tables begin to turn from good to bad against us, things not going as planned or as expected.

At such times, it can be incredibly difficult to want to trust God. And then, you begin to wonder with questions such as how can I trust God in such a horrible situation? How can I see God as good when I am in a bad place in life? how can I trust God when I have cracked my head over and over again yet there is no solution in sight? How can I tell God hears me when I pray to him to take me out of this situation but he seems far from me? How can I even trust God whom I do not see? All these are valid questions when going through rough times with no resolution or solution in sight.

One of the reasons we find it hard trusting God in difficult situations is because we have limited understanding of who he is and the reason behind every of our troubles. We also fail to realize that the difficulties we go through fit God's plans or purpose for our lives.

He allows us go through certain things for our good and growth in life physically, spiritually and emotionally to mold us into what and who he wants us to be or become but we fail to see this because we know and believe that God is good and his plans for our lives the very best for us so why the hard times?

The inability to trust God in such moments is what in most cases leads to depression, anxiety and fears of the out come of what we worry about or the situation we are into.

Through out the ages, trusting God has never been easy starting from the Israelites who were told to pass through the red sea while the enemies chased after them down to the new testament Christians who were humiliated, beaten, imprisoned, killed or stoned to death for their faith.

When things go out of our control irrespective of how much we try, the best bet is letting go and letting God take over the situation by going through the scriptures searching his promises for our lives such as the ones below.

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah" Psalm 46:1-3

"Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:6-7

"Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid neither be thou dismayed; for the Lord thy God is with thee withersoever thou goest." - Joshua 1:9

"But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you." 1 Peter 5:10

Trusting God is believing in his ability, his strength, his capacity, his unfailing love, his all sufficient grace, care and in his word that whatever we may be going through can not consume us but that we would pull through by his grace.

Irrespective of our sufferings or the challenges we face in life, God loves us still. He is always near and close to us even when it seems like he is far away.

When we fall, fail or hit rock-bottom in life, it's not about the challenge but about how we react to these challenges. It is more about getting up and moving on with our heads held high knowing God's grace is more than sufficient for us to rise again each time we fall.

He is an all-seeing and all-knowing God who sees the end of a thing even before it begins. He knows and trusts you are more than capable to get through every difficulty if you don't throw in the towel.

Irrespective of the life threatening situation we may be going through in life, God has made us survivors therefore we need to keep the warrior mind-set alive to pull through and get through every difficulty.

Hold on and stay strong. Keep your head held high, your chin up with smiles on your face like you are in a good place or like you never fell because God got your back any time and any day. He is ever faithful.

Quote for the day - "God knows what he is doing. When it seems like things are falling apart, They are actually falling together."
