Weeks past, we had looked at the beauty of love in two series; The Beauty of Love in which the various types of love was looked into and The Five Love Languages.
If we have understanding of all these, why then does love fail? Why is there hatred among siblings and friends?, why are there failed relationships and failed marriages with high rates of divorce all over the place?
To this, here is what a very good friend of mine has to say as to Why Love Fails.
The greatest need of humanity is love. Everyone is searching for that special person that will love them for who they are, accept their mistakes and appreciate their strengths and weaknesses.
So many books have been written on love with funny and amazing captions such as "10 steps to finding true love." "How to win your man" "The principles of an attractive lady" and so many others.
Unfortunately, it's as if the more the knowledge, the more love fails. So many broken relationships, marriages, hatred everywhere and egoistic expectations.

Love operates in an atmosphere of self discovery. It is not found in people, things or books but in you. You will never find true love until someone else finds true love in you.
Love Starts with you and the question is, how can I make myself lovable?, how can I contribute to this person's life? what do I have to give and what are the sacrifices I need to make?
The funny thing is, most of us don't even love ourselves well enough because if we do, we won't be looking for what is already in us. Love begins with self love and until you love yourself to the point of overflow, you won't have what to give.
Love is only sustainable in an atmosphere of selflessness and being sacrificial.
Make a decision today to start loving people for who they are and not looking for who will love you for who you are. Be the expectation of others and stop looking for expectations in others.
Develop yourself to your actual desire, that is be the person you desire in others and love will never fail you.
