THE LONGER IT TAKES, THE MORE GOD HAS IN STORE FOR YOU

Everyone of us have had to wait for one thing or the other in life. While some of the things we wait for come to us as quickly as expected or before the time we had expected, other things take way longer than expected.

This waiting period can be so frustrating, discomforting, difficult, excruciating and even full of anxiety making it seem like, God is silent to our prayers.

In all these, while the waiting might seem like an unanswered prayer, or taking too long to be answered, God is behind the scene pulling strings in our favor and planning something big for us.

He hasn't answered because He knows its not yet time for you too receive it or that you are not ready for what He has in store for you, so He is getting you prepared while you wait.

The waiting period is  a journey that God is taking you through, a process where we learn to develop ourselves, learn new things, be stronger and wiser in preparation of what God has in store for us.

While we are interested in the destination, God is much more interested in the journey. He is interested in the process He takes us through the journey. He is  interested in the development of our minds, spiritual and physical muscles.

There is this great and inspiring story of the elephant and the dog. The elephant and the dog got pregnant same day but three months along the line, the dog gave birth to six beautiful puppies.

The dog still got pregnant, six months later and nine months down the line, it gave birth to another set of six beautiful puppies while the elephant was still pregnant.

So it continued in same pattern until it got to the 18th month. The dog approached the elephant asking " Are you sure you are pregnant?

We became pregnant same day, I have given birth three times to a dozen puppies and they all grown into big dogs, yet you are still pregnant. What's going on?

The elephant smiled and replied "There is something I want you to understand. What I am carrying is not a puppy but an elephant. I only give birth to one in two years.

When my baby hits the ground, the earth feels it. When my baby crosses the road, everyone stops and look in admiration, what I carry draws attention. So what I am carrying is mighty and great."

In same vein, though it takes long, but what God has in store for you is greater and mightier than your wildest imagination.

He said in Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Stay strong in faith, do not loose hope and don't be envious of others when it seems like they have it all. When it's your time, people will marvel. It will draw the admiration and and attention of everyone to you.

Just like the baby elephant, when your season is born, the earth will feel your impact and all will stand in admiration of you.

If it hasn't worked out yet, that's because God is working something in you. The situation may not change but something is changing in you because patience, discipline, faith, resilience and hope are all working in you.

Learn to stay strong even when it seems difficult or impossible. Refuse the temptation of rushing or skipping the process. God will surely bring you to an expected end.

While you wait, ensure you keep a good attitude and a positive mind set all through the waiting process. Joseph had a dream that he knew he would live yet that dream took longer than he expected but when it eventually came through, the people of his time felt his impact and were full of admiration for him.

Sarah was promised a child after a very long time of childlessness. It took like forever in the eyes of Sarah for such a promise to come through but when it did, she gave birth to a great man who had an impact and still does on earth.

It may seem like God has abandoned you but those who wait on Him till the end will definitely reap the harvest even much more than they ever expected.

Quote for the day - "He heard you. Just be patient."
