TASK FORCE ON IMMUNIZATION : BANIGO HOSTS 2ND QUARTERLY MEETING

The Rivers State Government says it is committed to providing the enabling Political, Medical and Social Structures that Supports Families, Children and Mothers to Achieve Universal Health Care.

Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. (Mrs.) Ipalibo Harry Banigo (Right) presides over the 2nd Quarterly Meeting of the Immunization Task Force at Government House, Port Harcourt on 24th June, 2019.

The State Deputy Governor, Dr. Mrs. Ipalibo Harry Banigo stated this during the second quarterly meeting of the Rivers State Task Force on Immunization and Primary Healthcare at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Monday, 24th June 2019.

According to Dr. Banigo under the watch of Governor Wike the health care delivery system would continue to be strengthened through the efficient utilization of resources available.

She commended members of the Task Force who are drawn from Government and Non-Governmental Organizations, the Media, Civil Society, Security Agencies, Traditional Institution as well as Partners in Health for their dedication and commitments.

Dr. Banigo who expressed delight at the tremendous improvement of the State Immunization Coverage, which rose from 44.8% in 2016 to 82.6% in 2018, urged members of the Task Force to redouble their efforts in order to achieve 100% Coverage.
