Rivers State Deputy Governor Dr.(Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has assured members of the Market Women and Men Association of Nigeria that the Governor Wike led Administration would continue to support and empower them.

Dr. Banigo gave this assurance while playing host to members of the Rivers State Chapter of the Market Women and Men Association of Nigeria at the Government House in Port Harcourt, on Tuesday, 30th October, 2018.
According to the Deputy Governor the State Government would continue to work with them as partners in progress in the quest to develop the State because, over the years they have proven to be patriotic and dependable Rivers People.
She urged them to forward a list of leaders of the various markets in the State as part of deliberate efforts to ensure that more members of the Association key into the empowerment scheme of Governor Wike.
Also Speaking the State Commissioner for Women Affairs Mrs. Ukiel Oyaghiri expressed the State Government’s commitment to ensure that the women are empowered.
Earlier, the State President of the Market Women and Men Association of Nigeria, Deaconess Queen Tubobereni who expressed the Association’s support for the Governor Wike led Administration said women are important in politics because they are dependable.
