SPEAK THE WORD OF GOD : BANIGO URGES YOUNG GIRLS

Rivers State Deputy Governor Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has urged Young Girls to speak the word of God at every given opportunity.


Dr. Banigo stated this while speaking at the 2018 edition of the “Just Girls Talk” organized by the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Regional Headquarters in Rumuola, Port Harcourt on Saturday, 11th August 2018.

According to her God expects them to speak his word, testify and evangelize because, the Power of life and death is in the tongue, stressing that when you speak the word of God into the life of another person you would reap a bountiful harvest.



The Deputy Governor, who expressed the need for young women to be excellent in their speech and thoughts, disclosed that words are seeds which must align with the word of God to produce positive results.

“When you speak negative things you are sowing negativity into your own life because the Bible says we shall reap what we sow, we should   rather sow words that are edifying, words of restoration and peace”. Dr. Banigo further stressed.

While reiterating the Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike’s commitment to give an all-round education to the Girl Child, including vocational skills Dr. Banigo, commended the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries for organizing the“Just Girl Talk”, especially the Skills Acquisition programme which according to her is apt following reports that 33% of young people in Nigeria are unemployed.

The Guest Speaker and Permanent Secretary Rivers State Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Pastor (Mrs) Ene Secondus, who spoke on the blessedness, challenge and the triumph of womanhood said women were created by God and not by choice as helpmate to the man.


She regretted that many girls have lost the moral value from their homes, schools, dormitories, parents, teachers and the society at large, noting that the Bible which was used for moral instructions in the past had been removed from the school curriculum.         

Also Speaking, Pastor Chinedu Udechukwu, the Youth Pastor said the programme was organized to empower young ladies in the city of Port Harcourt with the necessary knowledge and information on their rightful places in the society.

According to him women were created by God to solve problems and should not be allowed to be limited by the environment and a wrong mindset.
