TOMORROW WILL BE BETTER THAN TODAY

When things do not go as planned being that we all strive each day to have a better tomorrow, the future would seem dark and unpromising to many of us.

We all have moments in our lives where things don't always go as planned or as we had envisaged and when this happens, it becomes hard to believe that tomorrow would be better, bright and calm.

Sometimes, it would seem like God's promises for our lives are taking forever to come true in our lives that we fail to realize that promises don't always immediately come true. They happen at certain times in the future.

The problem most us have is being patient enough to wait for things to fall in place perfectly just as God intended.

He said in Romans 8:28 "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."

As difficult as things may seem now, when the promise is fulfilled in the future, it would seem like there was never a wailing in waiting and you would understand how God brought out something good from a situation that seemed anything but good.

The delivery of a child takes nine months of pregnancy. During the period of waiting for the child to be born, not every woman had it easy.

Some experienced certain discomforts fromm the early stage of the pregnancy, some afterwards and others all through the pregnancy. But when the child is born at the end of  nine months, every discomfort experienced during the pregnancy is forgotten in a twinkle of an eye like it never happened.

When you find yourself in painful situations, remember that God's promises are there to make your tomorrow better and brighter. He said in Psalm 30:5b that "Weeping lasts for the night but joy comes in the morning." This is one promise to hold on to in moments of challenges that gives you so much hope for a better tomorrow.

There are about 7000 promises of God in the Bible that gives you an assurance of a better tomorrow. These promises cover any challenge that you may face now or in the future.

When you stake your life on the promises of God even when today doesn't look like there will be a better tomorrow, we get the assurance and confidence in God that our tomorrow will be better than today because God always keeps his promises.

That's why he said in Matthew 24:35 that "Heaven and earth will pass away but my words will never pass away." (NIV)

God honours his word even more than his authority or name. He lives by His own rules and and keeps His promises. That is why we can confidently trust God and not man. Man can fail and disappoint at any time but not God whose word is Yea and Amen meaning so shall it be or it is complete.

So, do not give up on life irrespective of what may be happening around you. Hold on to God's promises for they are what gives us life and hope that we have a brighter future ahead of us.

Our best days are not behind but are ahead of us. Not a day goes by without God's unfolding grace on us. The hard times are small compared to the good times God has in store for us.

There is more than meets the eyes. What we see today may be gone tomorrow but the things we can't see now lasts forever. So are God's promises when they finally come true in our lives. They will be there forever but not the troubles and challenges we are facing today. Trouble and challenging times don't last forever.

You have enough strength for the challenges and difficulties you are facing today so giving up should not be an option for you. You never know how much strength you have till you decide not to give up.

You also have strength for the joy of tomorrow because in God's promises, you know the end of the story because your end is not today. The story is not over yet. God has got it under control so fear not and trust him in the process.

Qoute for the day "No matter what happens or how bad it seems today, life does go on and it will get better tomorrow." - Maya Angelou
