DON'T JUST KNOW WHO YOU ARE BUT WHAT YOU ARE NOT

Have you ever seen someone who wants to be like, dress like, act like and do as someone else? There are so many people who want to be like some other other people even when they know who they are?

They know who they are but for some reason, they are envious of the lifestyle of certain people or the height these people must have attained and so they drop who they are to be like others.

God created each and everyone of us uniquely with special gifts, talents, dreams, ideas and purposes. Some people have discovered theirs while others haven't.

But the problem is that, some of those who have discovered their gifts, talents and purpose still try to function outside what they are not designed to be by God.

In most cases, those who know who they are and still try to function outside what they are not either do it due to lack of contentment, impatience, envy, lack of faith, or fear of failing in their own calling.

They in most cases, want to live other people's dreams seeing the success and glory these people are into forgetting everyone had a beginning accompanied with challenges.

Some are scared to continue pursuing their dreams and visions because of the mistakes they made or the failures they encountered while trying to live their dreams.

And as a result, they end up being what and who they are not either living life each day as it comes or trying to live someone else's dreams.

A friend of mine, Glory Uchenna would always say, you gotta be intentional about who you are. And I will same same thing to you today.

Be intentional about who you are this year. Be intentional about your gifts, skills, talents and purpose here on earth.

Don't be scared about failing. If you fail, make mistakes or fall, get back up and move on. Its all part of the training process.

Don't get so carried away and envious of the success of other people but rather be inspired by them and motivated that you can be successful in your own sphere.

Where you are at the moment is where God wants you to be and He is grooming you for a greater glory.

Mistakes and failures are bound to happen. They are all part of the process and training. With them, we learn, unlearn and relearn to be better in our crafts.

If you haven't gotten to where you hoped to be, be patient and know that this is your training period. Never loose sight of that beautiful picture in your head.

Keep the dream alive in your head, align your focus with your dream and keep working on it irrespective of the odds or challenges encountered.

See, successful people are too focused on their goals that they don't have time looking at what others are doing.

If you stay in tune with your dreams and vision, not minding what someone else is doing, you would succeed and reach your goals.

Keep running your own race at your own pace. What God has deposited in you is for you and no one else and has only anointed you for that purpose.

We are happy until we stop comparing ourselves with others. Keep making the most of who you are and with what you have. You are in competition with no one but yourself.

Every day of your life in trying to live your dream, ensure to be a better version of yourself. That's how we grow.

So what others do is none of your business but what you do. You were created to leave your unique mark here on earth.

Be faithful in what you do. Develop and nurture your gifts and talents. Keep trusting God and He would bring you to where you ought to be.

If He deposited the gift, the talent, the dream or vision in your heart, then He is certain to ensure it is fulfilled in you and by you.

He never said it would be easy in fulfilling your dreams but promises to be with you through the storm and see you through the journey.

When you stay faithful in your field and trusting God. He would open up doors of opportunities and favor for you.

That's why He said in Proverbs 22:29  that "Seest thou a man diligent in his works? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand  before mean men."

Keep your dream, hope and faith alive. Just keep running your race at your own pace and God will certainly see you through.

Quote for the day - " For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
