ARISE AND SHINE: BANIGO URGES CHRISTIANS

The Deputy Governor of Rivers State Dr. Mrs. Ipalibo Harry Banigo has urged Christians the State to a rise and shine in all facets of their lives.

Dr. Banigo stated this while speaking as a Guest Preacher during the 2020 Mother’s Union Conference and Thanksgiving Service of St. John’s Anglican Church, Niger Delta Diocese, Bonny East Archdeaconry on Sunday, 19th July 2020 at Bishop Johnson Street, Port Harcourt.

 

The Deputy Governor who spoke on the theme “Mothers Arise” drawn from Isaiah 60:1 said the Almighty God has commanded Christians to a rise and shine not only as individuals but as a State and a Nation, noting that our Lord Jesus Christ is the source of our light.

Dr. Banigo who said the Almighty God is aware of whatever circumstances we find ourselves in urged Christians to speak light into difficult situations and darkness would disappear, adding that the almighty God would surely put an end to the Covid 19 Pandemic.

 

The Deputy Governor while assuring mothers that the Almighty God would pour His Spirit of Excellence and Industry on them, stressed that no woman should be idle but busy no matter how little.

 

In his remarks the Archdeacon/Vicar in charge Venerable Mitchell Uranta expressed gratitude to the Deputy Governor whom he described as a very amiable and dedicated Sunday School Teacher, for the Sermon she delivered and commended the State Government for tackling the Covid 19 Pandemic head-on.
