BANIGO COMMENDS ELECTORATES FOR PEACEFUL POLLS IN DELGA

Rivers State Deputy Governor Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has commended the electorates in Degema Local Government Area for their large turn out and peaceful conduct in the ongoing Presidential and National Assembly Elections.

Dr. Banigo made this commendation shortly after casting her vote at Ward 14 Unit 10 in Obuama (Harry’s Town) on Saturday 23rd February, 2019.  

According to Dr. Banigo it is gratifying to note that despite the postponement of the elections last week the people were still enthusiastic in the exercise of their civic responsibility, noting that it shows the determination of the people to vote in good governance.

She also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the smooth conduct of the polls in the area and expressed the hope that INEC would replicate the same throughout the State
