Rivers State Deputy Governor Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has assured the Rivers People that Governor Wike is determined to continue to lead the State into the path of peace, development and prosperity.
Dr. Banigo made this known in a statement from the Government House in Port Harcourt to felicitate with the Rivers People in the New Year.
According to Dr. Banigo the revocation of the sale of the State Government owned assets to subsidiaries of Sahara Energy Limited is a clear demonstration of Governor Wike’s desire to ensure that Rivers people enjoy the full value of the State resources.
She reiterated that every action taken by the State Government is in the best interest of the Rivers People, noting that those crying wolf over the revocation of the sale of our critical assets do not mean well for the Rivers People.
Dr. Banigo commended the State Governor for the bold initiative and wished Governor Wike and the Good People of Rivers State a Peaceful, Happy and Prosperous New Year.
