The Rivers State Government has re-echoed its determination to ensure that the Organized Private Sector Continues to thrive in the State. The State Chief Executive, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike stated this during the 61 st  Inauguration Dinner Night of the President, Exco and Council of the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA) in Port Harcourt, on Tuesday 27 th November, 2018. RIVERS STATE IS MEDIA FRIENDLY: WIKE

The Rivers State Government says Rivers State is a media friendly environment. The State Chief Executive, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike made this assertion while speaking at the 71 st  General Assembly of Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria (BON) at Hotel Presidential in Port Harcourt, on Tuesday, 27 th  November, 2018. Represented by His Deputy, Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo, Governor Wike said  “out of over 250 radio and television stations in Nigeria under your organization; over 25 of these stations are located in Rivers State”,   noting that the State has provided the needed investors’ friendly environment for them to operate. RESCUE EFFORTS ARE ON GOING : BANIGO

The Rivers State Government says it has invited all those who can assist in the rescue of those trapped in the collapsed multi storey building along  Woji Road in GRA, Port Harcourt. As I look forward to having another birthday celebration on the 14th of November, I reflect back on life and the past: how I have fared in life and how far life has brought me. Has life been good to me or bad to me? Pondering on such questions, I realize how amazing life's journey has been so far despite its accompanied challenges. But hey, life has not been easy. I have had my ups and downs, highs and lows, tough, rough and smooth times, happiest and worst days, fears and strengths, failures and triumphs, failed expectations, hopes dashed, some prayers answered and some not or yet to be answered, some dreams achieved and some not or yet to be achieved. Rivers State Deputy Governor Dr.(Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has urged the Federal Housing Authority/ Mortgage Bank to ensure that workers in the State benefit maximally from their contributions to the Federal Housing Scheme.
