Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has assured the Rivers People that they are in safe hands with Governor Wike and the PDP.

The Deputy Governor gave this assurance during a sensitization Rally/Reception Programme organized by the Grass Root Development Initiative (GDI) at the Agric Field, Degema on Saturday 31st March, 2018.
Dr. Banigo said, Governor Wike is an astute manager of human and material resources that is why he has been able to transform the comatose State he inherited from his predecessor, noting that the entire State has witnessed massive infrastructural development under his watch.
She implored the people to continue to support the PDP in order to attract more development, stressing that the time has come to sweep the APC led Federal Government out of office because of the hardship and hunger it has brought to Nigerians.
While handing over former members of the APC who are now PDP members to the leadership of the party in Delga, President General of GDI, Chief Bright Amewhule said all hands must be on deck to ensure that the State Chief Executive, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike returns to the Brick House in 2019.
On his part the Secretary General of GDI, Mr. Samuel Nwanosike said since the APC took over the reins of governance at the federal level the fortunes of the Country has taken a nose dive, stressing that Nigerians are fed up with the incompetence, lies and propaganda of the APC.
He said the only credible alternative is the People’s Democratic Party which according to him has already issued a quit notice to the occupants of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The Chairman, Care Taker Committee of the Degema Local Government Area, Chief Boma Dappa, Chairman PDP Delga, Mr. Tonye Tyger, GDI Coordinator Delga. Mr. Peter Abbey as well as Prof. Victor Omuaru were amongst dignitaries that graced the occasion.
