As a single, I have been asked once if I've been married or know what marriage is about when I wrote to the singles on how best to live the single life.

I also came across a similar question which  was thrown at a single male friend who posted on his timeline advising married women not take everything that happens in the home outside. These two scenarios inspired this write up and I am addressing it to the singles again.

Dear singles, you do not have to wait until you are married before you learn what marriage is all about. Most singles especially the ladies are more concerned about the wedding day than the marriage itself. They concentrate more on the activities of the wedding day than what comes with marriage. Most singles want to have the best wedding of the day or of the year in order to trend for a long time.

Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong in having the best wedding of the year or …

We live in a society where every one is tempted to keep up with the latest fashion, have the latest designer wears and hang out with the happening people. We want to have everything and anything good that comes our way and go as far as doing anything to get what we want. Having all these in mind we forget that what we spend or intend spending is more than the income that comes in hence the probability in doing the unthinkable to get what we want.

Living within your means is either spending less or equal to what you earn and to effectively achieve this, the best way is having a budget that is not beyond your income, listing out your needs in order of priority. Budgeting enables you to keep your spending on track and if the things you have listed are higher than your income, then some minor changes would have to be made so you don't go beyond your means.
What ever is not needful or less needful can be done away with to enable you do some savings for rainy days. You should be be able…

While growing up as the only girl amongst three wonderful brothers, there was no time I felt like the only girl. The only thing that differentiated me from my brothers was sex.

I had a wonderful childhood experience with my brothers. Every game they played as boys while growing up, it was either I joined in the game or watched as they played on. There was this particular game we called "Super Man" (guess we manufactured the game as I haven't seen any home that played it) in which my elder brother would lift us up with his legs and our fingers locked with his.
With these guys who are now great men in there various endeavors, I never felt like the only girl and surprisingly, I did not turn out a tomboy 😁.

And my sweet great mum, ( of blessed memory) a disciplinarian to the core who left no stone unturned to make sure she got the right values, morals and ethics instilled in us. She had no time pampering me as the only girl but would rather discipline me like she did my bro…
