The Ecumenical center built by the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike is meant for Christians from different churches to come together and hold programs when the need arises.

The thanksgiving service was held Yesterday 28th May 2017 and was dedicated by the general overseer of the Redeemed Christians​ Church of God ( RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

Pastor Enoch Adeboye while dedicating the center commended the Governor for doing what no other Governor has done.

The center was officially handed over to the Rivers State Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) by the Governor to manage the affairs of the center.

In confirmation of the ownership of the center, the Governor declared that the certificate of occupancy for the center is prepared in the name of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

Former first lady of Nigeria, Dame Patience Jonathan, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, former Governor of Rivers State, Dr Peter Odili and his wife, Justice Mary Odili alongside ​others attended the thanks giving service.
