Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike is said to present an award to his predecessor now Minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, with top awards on the 27th of May as part of activities marking the celebration of the golden jubilee of the state.
Governor Wike will be honouring Rotimi Amaechi with the Grand Service Star of Rivers State.
Former military leader, Yakubu Gowon and former President, Goodluck Jonathan will be part of those that will be receiving awards on that day too.
The interesting thing is how is going to be possible for Wike to present the award to Amaechi as the two have been down on each other since the inception of Wike as Governor of Rivers State.
Both of them are considered to be enemies.
Will Amaechi attend the event to receive the award? And if he does, how will Wike freely give the award after accusing Ameachi of forming new cult group to disrupt the peace of the state.
